Browser Compatibility

What is Browser Compatibility?

Browser compatibility is the ability of a website to work optimally and adjust to any browser available in the market. A website can work perfectly in one browser but have technical issues in another.

How does browser compatibility work?

Web browsers work as translators of text written in an HTML format. To put it simply, they display the content on a website based on their HTML code. Each browser functions differently, however, having its own ability for text translation. As such, having a website fully compatible with any browser is recommended.

Also, browser versions are improving, so it is advisable to develop websites that can adjust to at least 3 most recent browser updates. Another aspect that needs to be considered when it comes to browser compatibility is the operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux) used by the user on his device, as browsers can render the information differently on each of them.

Why is browser compatibility important?

Browser compatibility is important because having a website that can display correctly on any browser improves your audience reach and your marketing efforts in funneling users toward your website.
