How does theMarketer determine a customer's favorite products, category & brandHow does theMarketer determine a customer's favorite products, category & brand
In order to provide the highest degree of personalization for each individual contact in your database, theMarketer detects their favorite products, categories, and brands, based on the behavior of the contact on your website.
In order to make out this information, we analyze four main criteria for each:
Favorite products
- The product was ordered at least once
- Or the product was added to the cart
- Or the time spent by the user on the product page was at least 5 seconds
- Or the product was viewed at least 5 times
Favorite categories
- The product from that specific category was ordered at least once
- Or the product from that specific category was added to the cart
- Or the time spent by the user on the product page from that specific category was at least 5 seconds
- Or the product from that specific category was viewed at least 5 times
Favorite brands
- The product from that specific brand has been ordered at least once
- Or the product from that specific brand was added to the cart
- Or the time spent by the user on the product page from that specific brand was at least 5 seconds
- Or the product from that specific brand was viewed at least 5 times
The criteria presented above represent the default configuration in theMarketer. Depending on the specifics of your business, you can either disable some of the conditions or change the minimum requirements. All the settings can be edited in Settings -> Products.
Remember that the conditions are mutually exclusive and will be assessed according to the default hierarchy. For example, if the first condition (product ordered at least once) has been fulfilled, the other conditions are no longer taken into account. If the product has not been ordered yet, then the system will analyze the second condition, namely whether the product has been added to the cart. If this is not the case either, the process continues with the subsequent conditions.
