How is the number of contacts counted? How is the number of contacts counted?
In theMarketer, your subscription is calculated based on the number of Subscribed contacts in your audience. Bounced, blacklisted, and unsubscribed contacts are not taken into account.
Let’s take a look at how contacts are counted.
Depending on your plan, your contacts can be subscribed to the following marketing channels:
- Free plan: Email
- Standard and eCommerce plans: Email and SMS
- eCommerce PRO: Email, SMS, and Loyalty Program
In order to calculate your subscription, our system looks at how many unique subscribed contacts you have under each marketing channel. Keep in mind that a contact is considered unsubscribed if they are unsubscribed from all available marketing channels. If the contact is subscribed to at least one channel, then they are considered subscribed.
Let’s take a look at an example for the eCommerce PRO plan:
- 4,100 contacts are subscribed to Email, SMS, and Loyalty Program
- 800 contacts are only subscribed to Loyalty Program
- 200 contacts are only subscribed to SMS
Based on these counts, you will have a total of 5,100 unique subscribed contacts, which means that you will be billed for the eCommerce PRO 6,000 contacts.
