How to downgrade to a free account?

We understand that sometimes your needs might change and you may want to downgrade to our Free plan. To help you navigate this process, we've prepared a quick guide to make it as smooth as possible.

The Free plan at theMarketer allows for up to 1,000 contacts. If your current contact list exceeds this number, you'll need to reduce it before you can downgrade.

Here's how you can do it:

1. Go to ‘Audience’ > ‘Contacts’.

At the bottom of the page you will see the list with all the contacts you currently have.

2. Identify the contacts you want to remove

You can sort your contacts in ascending or descending order by clicking the column headers.

For example, if you’d like to see the most recently added contacts, click on ‘Aquisition date’ until the arrow that appears next to it is pointing downwards.

3. Select and remove contacts

Once you’ve identified the contacts you’d like to remove, you can click the individual checkboxes of each contact then expand the ‘Action for X selected contacts’ dropdown menu and select ‘Delete’.

Alternatively, you can select multiple contacts at once by clicking the checkbox next to ‘Email address’. You can select the visible contacts on the page by clicking the ‘Select visible’ option or all the contacts in your list by clicking the ‘Select all’ option. To remove the contacts selected, expand the dropdown menu and select ‘Delete’.

Keep in mind that the process of deleting contact is irreversible and permanent. If you do decide to downgrade to the Free plan, don’t forget to export your current list before deleting your existing contacts.
