How to save and use a custom email template

Saving custom email templates in theMarketer allows you to streamline your workflow and reuse designs for future campaigns and automations. Follow these steps to create, manage, and use your own templates effortlessly.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Finalize editing your email

Before saving your custom template, make sure your newsletter campaign or automated email is fully edited and ready to be saved.

2. Click the ‘Save custom template’ icon

At the top-right of the email editor, click the ‘Save custom template’ icon.

3. Name your template

A new window will appear where you can enter a name for your template.

Be careful when naming your template. If you use an existing template name, it will be overwritten and replaced with the template you’re currently saving.

Once you’ve entered the name, click ‘Save as draft’. Your custom email template is now saved.

4. Access and manage your templates

Next time you create a newsletter campaign, you can access your saved templates in the ‘Saved’ tab during the ‘Content’ step.

Here, you will see all previously saved templates. To use one, hover over it and click ‘Select’. If you want to delete a template, click the icon in the top-right corner of the template.

You can also access your saved templates directly from the email editor. Click the ‘Templates’ icon at the top-right of the editor. This method is especially useful if you want to use a saved template in an automated email sequence.
