How to synchronize your subscriber segments with Facebook Custom AudiencesHow to synchronize your subscriber segments with Facebook Custom Audiences
theMarketer’s Facebook Audiences integration helps you run smarter ad campaigns by syncing your subscriber segments directly with Facebook Custom Audiences. This way, you can retarget existing customers, exclude recent buyers, or build lookalike audiences without exporting or uploading any files manually.
Here’s how to set up the integration:
1. In theMarketer app, go to ‘Integrations’ > ‘Productivity’, then click the ‘Connect’ button on the Facebook Audiences card.

2. Authorize access in Facebook.
Click the ‘Connect to Facebook’ button to begin linking your accounts.

You’ll be asked to log into your Facebook account. Please note that in order to complete the integration, you need to be the admin of at least one Facebook Business Page.
Once logged in, choose the business portfolio and the ad account(s) you want to connect to theMarketer, then click ‘Continue’. Once your selections are made, review the access settings, then click ‘Save’.

3. Choose the segments to sync.
Back in theMarketer, you’ll now see a list of your available subscriber segments. Click the toggle next to each segment you want to sync with Facebook. To sync all segments, turn on the ‘Select all’ toggle at the bottom.

When you're ready, click ‘Continue’.
4. Select the ad account.
Choose the ad account(s) you want to assign to the synced segments by enabling the toggle, then, click ‘Complete Onboarding’.

And… you’re done!
Your selected subscriber segments will now sync automatically with Facebook Custom Audiences, helping you serve better-targeted ads based on real-time customer data.
You can edit, disable, or remove the integration at any time by clicking the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the integration screen. To view your synced segments and connected ad accounts, click ‘View Integration’.
