What are top active reviewers and how is average rating calculated?

Feedback from customers is essential for a thriving business. Knowing who your top active reviewers are and understanding their average rating can help you fine-tune your offerings, discover top voices and key opinion leaders, and ultimately elevate your brand's reputation.

On theMarketer platform, you can access a wealth of information about how satisfied your customers are in the ‘Engagement’ > ‘Feedback’ section.

If you scroll to the bottom, you'll find the ‘Top active reviewers’ section. This area showcases up to 100 subscribers who have left the most product reviews over their lifetime. They're arranged in descending order based on the number of reviews they've left.

Next to the number of reviews, you'll notice their average rating. This is the average of all the scores they've given to your products. For example, if a subscriber left four reviews and rated the first product with 5 stars, the second with 2 stars, the third with 5 stars, and the fourth with 3 stars, their average rating will be (5+2+5+3)/4 = 3.8.

Both the number of reviews and their average rating matter, but for different reasons. The number of reviews demonstrates engagement level and customer loyalty, while the average rating gives you insight into customer satisfaction and perception of your products.

theMarketer is always here to help you unleash the power of customer feedback. So keep an eye on these insights and build a brand everyone loves!
