Brand Image

What is the Brand Image?

The brand image represents the customer’s perception of your brand, based on their previous engagement with the company's products and services, but not necessarily including past purchases. The brand image can evolve and change over time, so consistency is important.

Brand image vs. brand identity

The brand image goes beyond the visual components such as the logo or other distinctive symbols. It refers more to the intangible aspect of the interactions a customer has with a brand.

Why is Brand image important?

It is essential to have a positive brand image because it weighs more for today’s young generations who have a growing buying power (millennials and Gen Z) than simply having the best-selling product. What you stand for as a brand, translates into the brand image and will therefore influence consumers’ buying decisions. Although you cannot control how consumers perceive your brand, you can do other things to raise awareness, boost recognition, and put your brand in a favorable light.
