What is a product feed? What is a product feed?
Generally speaking, a feed is a stream of information through which users can browse. Its content is displayed in similar blocks that flow one after the other. Computers can read feeds and use the data for a variety of reasons, including updating users with information.
A product feed can simply be described as a list of items or services, as well as product features, attributes, and metadata. Product feeds are also known as data feeds or product data feeds, and can come in a variety of formats:
- XML (Extensible Markup Language)
- CSV (Comma Separated Values)
- TSV (Tab Separated Values)
- JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)
If you’re an e-commerce store, you can connect your product feed in theMarketer in order to sync your product catalog.
If you’re using one of the supported e-commerce platforms, then you don’t have to worry about a thing. Your product feed will be automatically generated by our plugin and automatically synced in theMarketer.
If you’re on a custom e-commerce platform that is not supported by theMarketer, then you will have to generate the XML product feed on your own, with the help of your developers. Find out how to generate the product feed in our API documentation
